The urban garden was conceived by Concerts For Kids as the signature project for the 2009 Community Day. Shames Makovsky Realty generously donated the land and Europa Landscaping solicited additional donations and provided labor to make Tiri’s Garden a reality. During the summer months, the garden is maintained by Urban Peak Denver, a non-profit organization servicing the needs of homeless and runaway adolescent youth in the City of Denver.  Denver Urban Gardens (a division of the City of Denver, Parks & Recreation) and Europa Landscaping assist the clients of Urban Peak by educating them in the areas of horticulture and gardening. Tiri’s Garden is a host to many activities year-round, including a Farmers Market from June-September and a holiday tree lot during the month of December.
